The 16th of February was the last day of the year of the dog and led to 2007: the year of the pig. Chau Doc, together with the rest of Vietnam (and many other parts of the planet) got ready to appropriately receive the New Year. We got also ready to enjoy the street celebrations that took place: a show of local singers training for “pop idol” (we have to confess not having quite yet developed an ear for Vietnamese pop music), a display of fireworks and lots and lots of dragon dancing on the streets.
Chuc Mung Nam Moi and congratulations to all of those born under the sing of the pig (1935, 1947, 1959,1971, 1983 y 1995)!
